About us
A volunteer committee, a registered Scottish charity and a whole village that comes together for its children.
Kinghorn Childrens Gala Committee
We are a registered Scottish charity (SC011609), set up as an unincorporated association and registered on 21 October 1981. We operate in Kinghorn, Fife, and every one of us is a volunteer: we have no paid staff.
Our charity exists to provide a week of activities which give the children within the Parish of Kinghorn the opportunity to:
- develop their recreational skills, through taking part together in a variety of sporting activities; and
- further their education, through taking part in a variety of cultural, social and educational activities designed to improve their knowledge and develop their practical skills.
In practice, that means a week of events every June that is open to the whole community.
